    M20 flywheel

Just picked up a stock m20 flywheel to install onto my S52 swap to replace the lightweight e21 323i fly that is in there now. The 323i fly is a special beast as it clears the bolts without modifying it so I didn't have to do any changes tge first time. Does anyone know how much material needs to be removed from the back of a stock m20b25 single mass to clear the bolts on the S52? I'd like to have everything ready to go come the day I drop the trans to install this thing. If i remember right it's like 1-2mm?

I had it shaved down to the Ring gear.

I'm hoping to avoid going that far as I no longer want a 12lb flywheel. I've done a bit more searching and I've come across people saying 1/8" which is more along the lines of what I was hoping for, but I'll do some more research and see if I turn up anything.

The 325i flywheel weighed in at 8.5Kg or 18.75lbs, doing the math on shaving 1/8" off the back I'm thinking it will bring the weight down to 17.5-18.0 lbs. Not so bad.
