    CCV issue... not even there

    I guess whoever the PO paid to do the swap just decided to delete the CCV instead of modifying the dipstick tube. What they did was hook up the hose coming from the valve cover directly to the intake boot near the throttle body... this isn't right is it?

    I saw someone else mention they scrapped the CCV and just used a breather filter instead. Should I do this? I am trying to check all of the vacuum hoses for possible leaks and went WTF?

    That is somewhat 'stock' for an OBD1 car...

      Oh is it? I just figured that without the oil separator it could cause problems going straight into the intake.

        The intake boot isnt technically under vacuum so its fine...

          The oil separator your thinking of is called a cyclone separator and was used on OBD II cars. On OBD I cars it does go directly to the boot
