Wiring clean up and 318is firewall covers

So I finally got my M50 swap done and running well. Now I want to clean up the wiring on the firewall as it's driving me nuts. I have the normal 318is cover and will be getting the cover for the passenger side. However I can't seem to figure how to get the relay's and all the wiring to go back where they were and and get the cover back on? I do have a harness adapter but that doesn't seem to be what's holding it up. The relays don't seem to be able to fit where they used and I'm not sure where to put them

This is probably a pretty silly question, but if anyone has any tips or pictures of there setup it would be hugely appreciated.

I've seen and posted in that thread. However all it shows is the finished product or mid progress shots, I can't see where or how people are mounting relay's etc under the cover.

I appreciate the link and the work you're doing looking for it. However the m20 fits different than the M50. My car was originally a 318is so I already had the cover, however with the M50 the relays now interfere with the intake manifold is my issue.

I installed the 318 cover no problem. I believe I have two relays in the first two (passengers to drivers side) and one in the last one (drivers side) Then I just snaked the wires up and zip tied them all in place. Pretty simple although it is a squeeze. I believe someone on here has some pics in their build thread I'll take a look

Interesting. Didn't know the relays can mount to the fuse box. Thanks for the link. After looking at mine I'm likely going to have to pull the intake manifold out of the way as I think part of the harness is getting snagged on something below. I need to trim a few stray wires and hopefully that will help. Did you cover need trimmed at all? It seems as if mine is going to hit the manifold on the drivers side.

It hits but doesn't need trimming.

I trimmed my panel to fit without rubbing. Either way its not a big deal.
