240 transmission update

well I'm finaly back at it. I bolted the transmission up today and the stock mount worked fine! I'm not sure if my e36 325i driveshaft will work,but I know the 318is one will not. The problem I have now is my shift linkage is to long by around 3 or so inches. Do other e30s have different lingth linkages, maybe I can use the e36 unit, any ideas?

shift linkage off a 318is is much longer than my m3. Can't comment on 325 linkage as I have never seen it.

I would try a 325i driveshaft and linkage . I think that will be the combo you need.
