shifter carrier which to use with the G250?

OK do I use the E36 or the E30 shifter carrier with the G250? I measured then and the E36 is slightly longer I need it to align perfect in the center of the opening

I used the linkage/carrier out of the same car that I got the g250 from (92 325i) and it all aligned great when I did my orange car.

Me too, I had to move the E30 bushing a bit just so that the linkage sits in the center.
