89 325i with S50 stalled.. cranks but no start

My E30 stalled on me one morning, just flat out shut down in a second. It cranks over good but doesnt fire up. I tested the fuel pump by hooking up a 12v source and it turns on laud and clear. I let the fuel pump run for about 5 seconds and then hooked up stock connector and tried starting the car, it fired right up and ran smooth for about 15 seconds and then died, so it means i'm getting good spark. Tried turning the fuel pump on manually for another 5 seconds and then the car started again for 15 seconds and died.. all the fuses look good. I pulled the cover off the fuel relay and i crank the car the relay closes to complete the circuit..

Where should i check next? Faulty CPS?

I had one problem like this on VW, runs when cold then shuts off fuel pump when hot. Turned out that fuel pump relay would heat up and have too much resistance in the coil causing it to switch off.

Seems to be the fuel pump actually thats failing. I pulled it out of the tank and hooked up wires to it from the battery and it spun for about 5 seconds and stoped, my buddy also said that it should be spinning much faster, it sounded pretty slow and weak. I'll try putting a good pump in tomorrow...
