Wiring help with m52b28 e39

Hey guys,

At first I would say sorry, I tried to search whole forum, but I didn't find anything that I need.

I am looking for wiring diagrams to connect m52b28 from e39 with my e30 1984. After I did swap there was 318i so M10 engine. I am kinda noob to work with schemes and things like that, I will be glad if someone helped me with this. I can pay with paypal if needed.

btw. there's a "flat" connector, not that one that looks like circle :)

Are you staying with OBDII. If so, this pinout will get you close. The first is the wire color and pin number and function of the Square c101 plug on your E30. The wire colors may be different because it may reference the body side or the engine side... I don't know which. The pin numbers will be the same though.

As for the second picture, its a table with c101 and X20 pins, colors and functions. match the functions up and see what happens. Then i would recommend checking the wiring diagrams to make sure that it makes sense.

can you give us the number and colour of the wires in both parts? i 've made a m10 to m52b28 wiring chart a few weeks ago.

Square c101 ……………x20 round………………function
1 blue…………………………………25 blue………………………alternator
4 brown/green………………12 brown/violet……coolant temp on gauge
7 green/violet……………………13 green/violet………fuel pump
8 black/yellow…………….18 black/yellow……….start
9 black……………………………20 black……………………RPM
10 green…………………………21 green………………….Ecu power
16 brown/green...............23 brown/green……oil pressure
17 white/blue……………….19 white/green………S.I Reset

I don't know the year of your car or is your car have more or less wires, but this chart can make your car at least start and run.

Thank you for reply well i have different colours i cant find fuel pump cable ... Theres no green violet cable only red violet on e30 plug ... Theres also brown white, green black, white violet cables on engine plug thank you ... Also i pluged green wire to green one and gauges doesnt show anything ...
