OBD 1 M50 Swap Speed Sesnor Trac Car

We recently swapped an OBD 1 M50TU25 into our 91 318is track car. We do not use a speedometer in the car. How important is it to provide the computer with this signal? Any performance problems we would have with out it? Thanks in advance

Some people have an issue with a soft limiter with not vss, some have not. Try it without and see if it's ok.
