    1984 318i swap M50NV Fuel pump Power

    1984 318i (originally M10) swapped in a M50NV.

It seems like the early model had 2 fuel pumps? I have one in tank and one inline where the later models had their fuel filter. With the swap, which one will prime?

So I started the car fine last year. Car sat for a year while I sorted out the suspension and did everything else. I did not mess with the anything other than that.

Now the car is ready to go, but it wont start! It almost started last weekend and then there were a few fuel leaks near the inline oil filter in the engine bay. I then fixed the leaks and there was definitely pressure in these lines as fuel was pissing out of it, but I dont recall hearing it prime.

Now that the fuel lines are fixed, I get nothing.

    1) I do not hear the pump priming before start.
    2) If I jump 30 and 87 on the relay socket, still no priming.
    3) If I put a volt meter to the pump plug, there is NO POWER wether I have the socket in, or out and being jumped.

I should get a 12v reading while in key position 2, right?

    Fuse is good btw.
    Winner winner chicken dinner?
