ok heres a question how safe is it to have a e36 oil pan rewelded to make it fit the e30? and if any one has pics please post them. also if any one who has done the m50 swap please post the undercarrage please. i am quite curious. might go this route if better and cheaper.

would require a completely custom oil pan, or use the e34 525i since it works...
The engine is what three feet long? the sump that hangs down is about 1 foot square and 10 in deep, that has to move the entire length of the engine to the front.
