s52 OBDI conversion, evap question

I keep getting a code for "evaporative purge control valve" with a bit of searching I found it was related to the fuel vent line and the charcoal cansiter

Just a little valve.

My question is, I ripped all that stuff out when I did the OBDI conversion, the vent line just has a small air filter on it to keep water out. But its throwing a code.

Will this effect the engine? or do I just ignore it?
