    About to E28 M5 mounts..right part number/price?

    Hi Guys,

I'm about to order a pair of E28 M5 rubber engine mounts for the M52 swap, and here's the part numbers and prices. Do they look correct?

    1x 11811128932 Left - $22.00
    1x 11812225201 Right - $43.00

I just want to be sure before buying. I used realoem to get the numbers...but I'm not entriely sure I've interpretted the descriptions correctly.

    Many thanks,

    Drew.

Just get the later E28 535i mounts. The later 535i mounts are exactly the same as *one of the E28 M5 mounts, I forget if its the left or right. The M5 mounts are actually different between right and left, whereas the 535i mounts are the same for both sides.

I don't quite remember becaues it's been a long ass time, so I'm not 100% sure.

I didn't know the part # off hand, Orca says:

I think what's getting me confused is that there's the green ones that orca uses (linked to by Devo_E30)...and then there's these: http://www.bmaparts.com/epcvsoapimc....entid=bmaparts

The latter being the E28 M535i mounts....which appear to just be black rubber cylinders...not those whacky green ones.

C///M what you're saying about the 535i mounts being the same as one of the M5 mounts sounds familar from digging around on the parts CD.

So I guess if I just order a pair of the 535i mounts I should be safe.

Those are the right nubers. I just verified with the dealer. Even though they have them listed on the wrong side from each other.

I ordered the 533i mount on one side and will use a 5mm spacer because it only cost 18 bucks compared to the 47.00 M5 mount.

You may have saved money, but my guess is those mounts you got aren't as stiff...

That's ok for a while. John the guy making the Urethane mounts is supposed to come through soon.

I forgot about that, is there a current thread somewhere that I can check for updates?

Also, anyone here run stiff/urethane tranny mounts?

I've been waiting for a while but he's pretty busy. I keep bugging him but that doesn't always work.
                      I have a thread on it....looking.

I am also confused......which one is it.....number "1" or number "2".... or either... or one of each :)

Can we get a show of hands here or some other kind of consensus......

One of each will also work. The Green mount is the stronger one and should be on the drivers side.

#2 both sides. Spaced up about 1/4" for oilpan/steering rack clearance. Guessing this is an airbag car issue- I didn't need any spacers on my '89 325is.
