Good to know. For the csb could I just use the one on my car now which is a 1991 318is and put it on the 96 m3 driveshaft or would it be a better idea to just get a new one

im not sure how easily your old one will come off. im just gonna get a new one.

i have the same thing, swapped my old 4 bolt flange out for a 6 bolt. check the link for some pictures.

make sure to mark the pinion bolt and count how many threads it takes to come off, so you dont over torque it putting it back together or you will damage your pinion bearing, ask me how i know. lol

Where did you purchase the 6 bolt flange? Are you talking abou for the diff or the driveshaft

for the Diff. i found it online. wanganstyle has one if you need one tho

sweet i just got my 6 bolt flange in the mail. gonna switch it next week probably.. now to obtain and install an e30 CSB.. that should be fun

Switching the Differential input flange is done very often.

Some Chassis models even come with multiple options from the BMW factory (i.e. E34 has 4 bolt, 6 bolt 84mm and 94mm CV standards)

I have a 1996 s52 with transmission and driveshaft. I thought that only 95 driveshaft had 6 bolt but when I went to check this morning it was a 6 bolt. Would it be possible to just go pick up a 4 bolt input from picknpull and change it? Or could I change the input on the diff to a 6 bolt? Thank you

I thought of doing that but from what research ive done thus far you cant switch the end of the drive shaft because its different then the 4 bolt. other option is switchin the flange on the differential but that is seeming impractical. so im just trying to sell this 6 bolt and find a 4 bolt which is proving difficult. these thing are hard to come by... ughhh
