    Thanks for the input! I am now leaning toward a 3.46 lsd, I found one for 395 shipped and it is re-sealed under 100k miles!

      honestly if you drive them all in the same car (I have):

      3.15 - 3,23 - 3,38 - 3,46 is all about the same.

      For mountainous regions the shorter numbers will provide more smiles.

      if one cares about fuel economy pick 3,15 or 3,23 - the 3,15 ring gear is lighter than the others.

      IF one has a pure track machine then 3,91 is the popular CA track choice

      3,64 - 3,73 - 3,91 - 4,10 for s54+6mt+8krpm ++
      OBD1 M54/M52TU swap as a M50b25

      Z4 non powered steering rack fits e30

      Euro e46 2005/6 320d 6mt gearbox into E30 with M20 hardy and beck 1985 327s engine

        That's some good info! I found a setup I am going to try to snag up next week!

        S50, zf320, 328i driveline, 3.15 lsd!! And then if I want more, I can go more, but seriously, thanks for the real world info. It is a huge help!

          In my E30 with 6 speed I ran 2.93, 3.07, 3.15, 3.23

          I liked 3.15 or 3.07 (z3 3.0 m54b30 has this) the best for some weird reason. It wasn't any slower than 3.23

          In my e36m grocery special I have ran 3.23, 3.38, 3.46

          I like 3.46 in this s52 car as its hilly where I am. If I had a 6 speed I'd run a 4.10 or 4.27
