Little help needed With 24V engine and AC

Im having issues with my project E30.

Engine has been swapped to 24V M50 on my car and air conditioning compressor needed to be replaced with E36 one.

How do i get the piping done ?

Air conditioned E30 are quite rare in finland so i havent seen anyone done this earlier.

Thought id ask u guys how to do it..

I have the original pipes but not the M20 original compressor, i got plenty of E36 pipes instead
What parts do i need to get the AC work ??
And how to connest the compressor wiring ??

there are a few other threads on here. search for E30 24v swap Air conditioning on here. There is a single wire that needs to be connected to the compressor switch to bump the idle up a bit, and the lines are usually custom. Ive heard that E30 318i lines work, but i have no idea. I also heard something about E34 lines, but i cant verify that either.

I had lines made for it. Basically used e36 compressor fittings on compressor side and e30 ends on other side.

This is helping me very much to go forward with the project ;)
System seems to be converted to R134a before or it is a retrofit not sure,because the car is the late model E30 Touring Production Date 3/93
Im have lots of E36 pipes and i guess i have the E34 pipes somewhere in the storage.
Taking all the possible parts and sorting from them is kind of usual on my projects :D:D

I dont have any previous experience of working with the AC but lots of experience with heater problems at wintertime.


This question is not asked for the touring in my signature.

Instead Im building another 24V touring at the time, every guy should have one "factory" touring for wife to use and one "hobby/racer" touring to be driven to the limits :)
