    Another M50 no start thread

Recently pulled the m42 from my 91 318is and dropped in a 95 m50 with zf trans. Got everything all wired up correctly as far as i know, grounds are good. Hard wired the harness (no adapter). She cranks over fine, starts with starting fluid so i know its getting spark. Problem is i can't get fuel to spray from the injectors, fuel feed is hooked to the front of the rail as it should be. Tried a new crank sensor but still nothing. Been wasting too much time in the garage trying to get this damn thing running. Help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like your fuel pump is set to the wrong pin. I would look over the C101/X20 wiring again. 318i are different than 325i.

So in 95 they started remote mounting the fuel pressure regulator. This caused a crank no start for me. There are 2 ways to verify this; look on the back of the fuel rail for the circular thing hanging down, and you can also put a pair of vice grips on the return line and see if it starts. If it does you need a fuel rail from a pre 95 m50

http://m.ebay.com/itm/131269270255?nav=SEARCH like this one. They have gone up in price so maybe try a local junkyard and don't waste $80 on this one
