So my car has developed a steering whine.. The whine is only present after hard driving at high rpm, i can feel it in the steering wheel so it's pretty bad. I flushed the fluid out multiple times.
For reference I'm using an e36(s52) PS pump.
I have read that there is an inline restrictor in the high pressure line, and lack of such a restrictor causes the fluid to be pumped too fast resulting in cavitation (the sound).
The e46 steering system came with a banjo bolt with a checkvalve (part #32416781261). Has anyone tried installing this banjo bolt? I'm willing to give it a try, but for a $10 banjo bolt I wanted to see if anyone had already done it.
