    M50 getrag 240 won't start

    Ok just finished the m50 swap with the getrag 240 transmission using the euro 323i throw out bearing m20 clutch m20 flywheel and m20 starter and we go to crank the car and it's just a loud clunk, motor won't even rotate manually... Any help please.. Thanks

    clutch in backwards? car roll in neutral?

      car is on a rack, with no driveshaft.. , just finished the wiring and tryna crank the motor to see if it will start..

        Was the engine known running?
        Does anything change if you push in the clutch and try to start?

          motor was pulled from a running e34, i started the car up and heard it run for about 20 mins, sounded fine..

            Machine the back of the flywheel? It bet it's hitting.

                I second the flywheel. If it wasn't machined it will have clearance issues.
