    S52 swap - Exhaust manifold?

    Hey guys
I've got an 89' 325i sedan at my buddies shop, currently being resto/rebuilt and s52 swapped.
We grabbed up an m50 intake mani from a r3v member, waiting on ground control coilovers to come in. While we're waiting, I'm ansty it's been almost 3 days since I bought something for this car -- So I'm shopping for an exhaust manifold.

Is there any significant gains to be had with any particular exhaust manifold for the s52? Shop will be building a fully custom exhaust from the manifold back...

    Any recommendations?
    Thanks
    S

There isn't much to be gained from bolt-ons. The S52 is what all the M5x guys bolt on for some gainz.

A lot if people run ebay long tube stainless headers. But I went with stock obd2 manifolds with sap block off plates because most people said the long tube headers are very raspy.

+1 on the stock manifolds. I took my longtubes off as they were fairly raspy but they sit right on the control arm bushing and vibrate like a bit*h. They do free up some power up top and loose it down low vicsa versa with stock.
