    Swaped m50 to s50 now fuel problems..

    Hey all,
    I have a 85 325e and swaped a m50 in it a year ago. Never had any problems with the m50, just got a great deal on a complete s50 swap. I swaped the s50 in last week and having fuel problems since. When I crank it up, it back fires out of the intake manifold and exhaust. I pulled the intake manifold off and its wet with fuel.
    I tried swaping injectors, crank sensor, cam sensor, tps, ecu and still same thing. It wont even idle unless I have hit the throttle and hold it at 2000 rpm and then its back firing from exhaust.

    Compression/leakdown/fuel pressure readings?

      S50 came out of a friends 95 m3 that got tboned. s50 ran great before pulling it out of the e36. 150psi cold all 6 cylinders . Haven't checked fuel pressure, but all I did was swap the m50 out for the s50. This was my daily before a week ago.

        Your injectors and rail, or his?

          I use my whole m50 intake manifold with injectors and rail, then tried swaping injectors for the s50 injectors which are the same and no difference.

            Would suck if it was hit hard enough to jump timing or bend something internally from being hit while in gear. (Grasping now...)

              I drove the e36 m3 to my house 30 mins away after it was wrecked, ran great. I'm getting frustrated with this swap, took me a full day to pull and swap the s50 in and I been Fing with it for a week to try to figure this out problem.

                      Fixed, pin on the crank that aligns the harmonic balancer backed in when i was installing it. Runs great now.
