S52 with zf tranny. My shifter is offset? Is this correct?

    Hi Guys,

Im trying to figure out if my shifter should be centered in the hole the shifter comes threw with my swap.

My car is an 88 325IC. It was originally an automatic.

Engine, and tranny are from a 98 M3.

I am using the M3 shift assembly. (aluminum carrier and stuff)

Using condor 24v swap mounts on engine and tranny.

I was hoping that it would be alot more centered to the hole in my e30. Its actually hitting up toward the front.

    Is this normal?

    Thanks
    Jay

Not normal. It should center fine. Are you sure the shifter isn't 180* out?

Figured it out. Aluminum carrier was flipped 180. It definitely sits very close to the front of the shifter hole,.... but its centered now.

My aluminum carrier actually has some sort of plate on top (I assume its some sort of quick shift kit. I had to take this off, and mount it from the other side, to make it all work.

One tiny step closer to getting this swap done! LOL

      Thanks!

      Jay
