Anyone cut off the clutch fan stud?

Hi Guys, Im trying to cram in a spal fan in the stock fan location on my 24v swap.

I want to trim back the stud where the stock fan clutch mounts to, to get me extra clearance.

Anyone do this? Id like to cut the whole thing off. Just wanted to see if anyone went down this road before I started.

Pics would be awesome if you have any.

    Thanks!

I was going to but my stock aux fan works great. So no need. I would recommend using a dremmel with a cut off wheel or something else that size, as grinding will heat that shaft up. Don't want to ruin the seals.

Nice. Thanks guys. I'll make sure to not get to much heat into the shaft. Prob see if I can use a sawsall to get most of it off. Then lightly grind it flat.
