I did a m50b25tu swap and usually i could see a little bit of smoke from the exhaust pipe on a warm day but ignored it. Today however, it was really cold out and even when the car got up too temperature their was so much white smoke you could see it from the rear window. Their isn't a strong smell but yes it smells. I think all the smoke means I am running rich, and i don't remember seeing thermostat on my build list could that be it? Even though i have low coolant i don't think that's the case, any help?

Well the color of the smoke tells you a lot.
blue/grey would mean your burning oil...
white would mean a bad headgasket...
black would mean you're running rich...
However, it could be none of these and just vapor. Especially when it's cold out.
Are you losing any coolant? I would keep an eye on the level. Or just do a leak down test.Last edited by EyExR; 12-22-2014, 09:46 AM.

Well the water in the motor will certainly create a bit of smoke haha.
Cat's, when cold, smoke a lot! Especially when water vapor from the motor is being forced through it.
