crankscase vent on my obd1 s52?

alright, here is one for you guys that have done an obd1 swap onto an s52:
i have the crankcase vent connector (the one that attaches to the valve cover and has 2 outlets) from an obd1 motor. however, it is too big to fit into the hole on the valve cover on my 98 s52 motor. that crankcase vent has only one big outlet and is shorter. does this mean i have to get an obd1 valve cover (not coil cover) for my motor? i didn't think that was a necessary step and that the only mod to the valve cover needed was to dremel out the recesses for the coil wires. help!

I'm doing the same with a 97 S52. I kept the original valve cover and crankcase ventilator. I'm going to weld a vent tube to the E34 dipsick.

    Good luck!

i used a reducer with a barbed end on it. its been 4 years but i thought it was a stock obd1 piece. i put a very short section of heater hose on the v/c and the barbed fitting goes into the heater hose and is secured with a hose clamp.
i can take a pic after i return from my trip with my new friends out west if you like
