What I'm working with:
1989 e30 325i
1998 e36 OBDII harness (I am retaining OBDII)
I have looked through the e30 etms for the heating and air conditioning (6410-0), A/C temp controls (6411-0), A/C blower controls (6413-0), A/C air delivery control (6421-0), and A/C compressor controls (6452-0) and I couldn't figure out much that seemed to correspond with the e36 harness.
The ETM for the e36 harness leads me to this:
x20 pin 4 - (black/blue) DME to compressor control relay
x20 pin 5 - (black/gray) DME to normal speed relay/pressure switch
x20 pin 6 - (violet/gray) DME to climate control module
How much of the e36 wiring do I need for A/C? My initial thoughts are that the only "integration" needed is for the idle control? so when the compressor kicks on the idle is bumped up?
Does the e30 control the rest via a separate harness for A/C?
Thanks
