Alright, so I have a k&n universal fit air filter for my e30's m50b25tu installed. When I first swapped the engine, I could really hear the air filter suck in air and make a swoosh noise at quarter throttle. Then after a couple of days, the swoosh kept getting quieter and the car was less powerful. After a couple of months, I took my car to do some maintainace and my mechanic told me that he made my car faster but he doesn't want to say how. So after trying it, I noticed that the intake swoosh sounded just as loud as it used to be and the car is a lot faster as well. Unfortunately, after a day or two of driving, it went back to being quiet and less powerful. Does anyone know what gives or if their is something I have to adjust? Btw not that I am a fan of a rice sounding intake, I'm just worried without hearing it I have a performance problem
