    Pure reference

I know people are going to chime in and be like "oh this has been discussed in threads" but I cant find a thread dedicated to this, and I dont wanna read a million threads to pickout specific info.

    So

What kind of MPG do you get on the swap? How many miles on a tank?

Im trying to figure out a list of what will give you what, so respond like this:

    -Engine (mods)
    -Tranny
    -Diff
    -MPG
    -Miles on a tank

    Thanks a ton guys

Awesome, Seems like I have about the same setup as your 90 m3, minus the pullys. Im only seeing 21mpg best with fairly good driving.

      With that

      88 m3
97 s52, 3.5 HFM, 24# injectors, JC chip, custom exhaust
      ZF tranny
      3.25 LSD 17" wheels
      ~21 mpg
      265 miles on a tank

Hahaa...my supereta gets like 20 mpg in town and on the highway.

Maybe it's my 3.73 gearing with the love revving Eta?? :P

            E30/S50
21#, Big HFM, AA Tune, No cat, and a 260/3.73

315 miles to the tank in full-on granny mode, but the light never came on even though I was sitting on E. Do we really have a low-on-gas warning light?

            300 is about the average...

shit, I get about 215-230 miles on a tank so far, but I have trouble keeping my foot out of the gas. Usually works out to 19-20mpg.

On the highway, thanks to an adjustable FPR, running at 48psi at partial throttle (stock is 52):
28-30mpg (best has been just over 31)

                3.0
                ~42k miles
                stock injectors
                3.5 maf
                no cat
                custom BMW chip
                Getrag 260/3.73
                alum flywheel
                weight is around 2620
cup mirrors for superior aerodynamics ;)

mileage is lousy when I use WOT a lot because it dumps the fuel to ~60psi

edit: I do 3-5 over on the highway, speed is usually about 58 in 55's and under 70 in 65's.

As a data point, my stock s52 98 m3 gets around 21-22mpg. If I could manage to drive it conservatively, it would get around 25 city/hwy. I once drove it at 60mph for about a hundred miles and it got nearly 30mpg. I just love feeling the low end torque of the s52 so I lay into the throttle all the time and live with 21-22mpg.

                    RIGHT ON! :D

Same with me...except in a not so powerful sense.

However, it will be when I'm done with my stroker...heh
