Full e36 electronics - Will it work?

I have the e36 M3 wiring harness, computer, and gauge cluster - Granted the cluster doesn't fit perfectly, is it easy to just run all e36 stuff througout the swap into my e30? Or am I setting myself up for a major PITA with wiring? Thanks.

(BTW - I'm getting close, the engine is almost fully assembled, but still lookin for an e34 oil pan and some help with the electronics set-up)

PITA, with that much work you might as well just do the s54 swap

Yeah but the cluster is basically the brain for the whole car. It contains the solid state for everything.

I've run my e36 m3 without the cluster in for a few days. No adverse effects.
