Want to make sure that I understand my options correctly.

    Flywheel & Clutch
My understanding is that I have couple of options when it comes to flywheel/clutch setup. I planning on using the ZF transmission that came with the engine. Should I use starter/flywheel (which is dual mass)/clutch that came with the engine or m20 starter/flywheel/clutch combo? I understand the benefit of lighter flywheel, however this is going to be a weekend car so response time isn't all that critical. Also, my understanding is that dual mass flywheel setup makes the ride a little more pleasant.

    Pedals:
My car is an auto from the factory, which was horrible to say the least, so I have to install proper number of pedals. Would OEM, pre-airbag version, work with ZF or are there other options?

    Driveshaft:
I should be able to use the driveshaft of off a donor car (1996 328is), right?

    1996-99 also applies to 328i?

Btw, does anyone have the pics from the original thread, would be a lot of help. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=266738

    Differential:

    Transmission bracket:
e30 325/318 manual transmission crossmember with e30 mounts.

Please let me know if I’m on the right track,

    Thanks.

Hopefully the head gasket HAS been replaced, because it's showing signs of a coolant leak into the cylinders or oil. i.e., watery oil, (sweet) diesel smell, rusty cam lobes. Seems like some moisture has gotten into the oil. Buuuut it's possible that the PO did not replace the oil after doing the head gasket, which is strange IMO. Good luck! Keep your mechanic friend close, haha.
