    I'm not getting fuel

I have a 318is that I bought awhile back with a blown engine, I have never seen it run and it has been sitting for years. The m50 is in and wired but I am not getting any fuel. I removed the pump and tested it and it works, my problem is I'm not getting any current to it. I have double checked the wiring and it seems right, unless 318is have a different color fuel pump wire then 325i's do. What should I check now? Is there anything else other then the relay, the fuse is not blown by the way.
    Thanks

mine did that kinda, if you pushed the wires on the fuel pump plug together it would work. You might wanna try that. Right were the wires come out of the plug, push them together a little.

        Hope that works for ya

Alright I just checked the connector its not bad. I think my DME wiring is wrong. The 318is wires do not match the 325i wire colors. Does anyone know what color the 318is DME Cont/Idle control wire is, and the DME/engine Plug wire? I do not have a gray or a white/green wire.
          Thanks

I think the relay will not work without a signal from the crank sender.

I'm really going to need a wiring diagram to figure this out, does anyone know where I can get a hold of one?

you have the 413 burgandy/red tag ecu right?

If not that could be your problem, damn EWS.

Back to the basics my friend, you will be doing circles and will be frustrated but run through this check list.

                  -DME is grounded
-Engine ground strap is attached to chassis
-Relays are good especially the main relay with one with all the red and white wires leading to it
-Check that fuse with a test light or swap the fuse out
-The power lead for the fuel pump is violet with a green stripe, either way its violet.

try hotwiring the pump to see if the pump is the problem

Had this exact same problem this morning with mine. Damp in the fuel pump relay was the problem. You need to find this relay, it will be in amongst the engine loom somewhere, it has a heavy red wire (permanent earth) and a Green and Violet wire (already mentioned, feed direct to the pump) while cranking this G/V should be live, or you could put a + to it and see if you can hear the pump spin up. The relay was blue IIRC.
                      Hope this helps

                        No Fuel

If that M50 was manufactured after 1/95 then it will be the damn EWS like Kangamangus said. It happened to me.
