    M50 cam and crank sensor

Is there a difference? I have m50nv and order what I thought was a camshaft sensor. Went to change it out and noticed it had a female connector instead of the male. Is there a difference? I researched but kept coming up with different variations of both sensors. Thanks guys

m50NV will have a MALE connector at the sensor whereas the newer m50's will have a FEMALE connector at the sensor.

I ran into this problem too. I haven't tried to start my car yet, but when I was installing the harness, I thought my cam/crank connectors were missed labeled because of the male/female plugs so I switched them around. I'm going to have to look into this more.

Ya any help would be great. Cause the car ran great before then. I have put in a diff ecu and new Bosch under the car fuel pump. Also have got new dme and fuel pump relay. I jumped the fuel relay spot and heard my external fuel pump kick in. I used to hear the in tank set up but couldn't here anything. Any idea guys?
