    Broken Thermostat Housing Bolt

During the past week I've been slowly disassembling my new to me S52 to prepare for installing all new gaskets, with the exception of the headgasket.

Today I decided to finish taking everything remaining off and noticed one bolt for the thermostat housing was missing. After removing the other bolts and taking the cover off I saw it's not missing but snapped of even with the head! Any ideas on how to address this? Not really wanting to pull the head if I don't have to.

Besides this snafu the only other thing I am waiting on to start resealing is the crank holder tool. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks! Evan

You can try an extractor drill set, though I never have luck with them. Or you will need to drill it out and tap it.

Just looking at how small the bolt is I doubt an extractor set would work. Wondering if I should leave the drilling out to professionals or if I can accomplish it without to much trouble.
