    S52 need help

I did a s52 OB1 convertion with war chip and specs onto a 89 325i. Swap was done correctly with some minor vacuum leaks fixed those up and car would start right up! Car ran well for a couple of weeks. All of sudden I was stranded tow car back home cause it will start crank over at all! Check starter swapped it with a reman one check power, power is good but it just won't start! If Anyone can help me on my issue tell where to look and check for I would really appreciate it Fellow community! Thank you in advance !

I need more details than "i was stranded". did the car turn over when you turned the key? I assume no because you replaced the starter. does it click when you turn the key? does the starter relay work? check the relay next, and check power to all of your crucial relays. also check power to the DME. I did an OBDII swap and its been a while since ive done anything with it, so im not the greatest help, but i need more to go on.

Did any of the swap wiring come loose? Ignition wire maybe?

Hi guys! Thanks for the replying ! No clicks when I turn the key nothing at all but I do hear a small buzzing sound when you open the ignition to on ! I now it sounds dumb of me to ask but where would the starter relay be located? And I haven't check the ignition wires since I didn't touch any of it! But I will do so! About the starter relay!

That buzzing is probably the ICV.

I have check all wires on harness to make sure everything is connected properly and don't see no broken wires at all! My next step would be to check for proper voltage on wires from ecu and ignition! Any one else has an idea where you I check or test? Let me know thanks in advance!

If it isn't turning over you need to figure out why the starter isn't getting power. Could be a bad relay or could be a wire that came loose. This isn't a quick fix or what you want to hear, but you'll need to get a wiring diagram and a multimeter and start tracking the problem down.

For starters, check to see if turning the key is sending power out. I think the power wire from the ignition column goes to the fuse box under the hood but can't remember. A diagram will clarify this. Figure out where the power wire from the column enters the fuse box and check that fuse/relay to see if it gets power. If it does, plug the relay or fuse back in and then see if the starter is getting power. If the fuse/relay is getting power and the starter isn't it's your fuse/relay. Sounds like that is probably the case.
