M52 oil pressure light hangs around after starting

    Hi all,

When I start the m52b28 if it has been sitting for a few days it takes around 2 seconds for the oil light to disappear. Is there a drainback valve or something that might have failed?

It runs quite well, but it had been getting 15MPG cause of a huge vac leak (plastic valvecover had a chunk missing under one coil pack) and a bad ecu while the P.O. had it so it might be a bit worn. Engine and car was also not looked after by past owner

    Thanks.

The two orings on the oil filter housing cap need to be replaced.

Sweet, makes sense. The filter kits I got for the m52 only came with the larger oring, will get the lower one separately in my next parts order.

      Thanks!
