    Damage from Lean Condition?

    Hey guys,

I know someone who is selling an S50 for a very very reasonable cost -- one piston has "a little damage", he says, from a lean supercharger tune.

The engine still ran when he took the motor out, and he says the cylinders are absolutely perfect.

I don't know much at all about this kind of damage.

What do you guys think? Is it as simple as fitting a new piston? I would like to run a non-Vanos head on this motor, w/ a pair of fancy cams.

    Thanks,
