    Ok,

I've been having shifting problems=popping out of reverse.

So after much time, money and new parts, I ended up flipping number 7 upside down. And magically, I can shift into Reverse fine now without popping out. Can anyone provide any insight on this?

I remember when i bought the car I noticed this was installed upside so i flipped it with no effects. A few weeks later the problem started.

I had a problem with #12 not allowing me to use 2nd or 4th. The e36 one had a bend in it, the BMW mechanic said I had it installed correctly, after a while of trying to figure it out, we flipped it upside down and its worked fine.
