    Cooling system error....help

I recently received my e30 back from the shop that did my m52 swap. A little background info: 02/85 build 325e with '98 328is swap m25b28 OBDII.

I have had many problems with my cooling system. First and foremost, I will lose heat with my heater on. I bleed the system time and time again with no avail. Leads me to believe there is an issue with my heater core since I found a puddle on my drivers side carpet. Water did not smell of coolant, however. I have always had steam pour out of my vents twice.

Another issue I am having is my temp gauge doesn't leave the blue mark on the scale. At operating temp, the gauge reads in the middle or towards the top of the blue. The nut on the back of the cluster is tight for sure.

If anyone can provide insight into theses issues I'd greatly appreciate it. I haven't been able to enjoy the car due to all the stress of stuff going wrong and money and time I've put into it. All help will be appreciated. Thank you.
