    Power steering reservoir relocation (S5x)

Hello guys, wanted to know if their is a relocation kit available for the power steering reservoir in our e30 S5X conversions.

I really find that bottle to be annoying in its stock location. I notice that on the e46 they moved to the front and even the E36 Alpina moved up to the front

    E36 Alpina

Even the E9x have them away. I personally would like it over by the washer fluid reservoir is on the passenger side if possible..

There is a power steering pump bracket from a 24V car that mounts to the motor mount arm. I forget which car it came from but I have one in the garage that I've been meaning to install. They are plentiful in the yards.

On my '97 M52 motor the holes are drilled in the oil filter housing to accept the later style bracket as used on the M52TU/M54 motors. Part #4 in this diagram.

This will only work as a bolt on for engines with the plastic oil filter lid since they utilize a different oil filter housing.

Based on some quick measurements between my S50 and my M52 I am not certain that the bracket will work on M52 motors converted to an OBD1 manifold since the physical length of that manifold is longer (more towards the front of the engine) but it looks as though the bracket could be modified to work.

I plan to try and adapt the M52TU/M54 mount to work with my M52 OBD1 manifold conversion and use M54 power steering lines. It will be a while before I get that far into my swap but so far it looks like a promising solution to gain some space and allow better access.

I have a s54 oil filter housing I had to trim the alternator plastic cooling vent to clear the oil lines I really want to send that steering reservoir far away..

Do you know the specs of the pump banjo? maybe I can make my own lines that reach the fender side.
