s50 vs s52 coilpack question: is there a difference in spark output?

I understand that if you have a OBD1 valve cover you run OBD1 coilpacks, and if you have a OBD2 valve cover you run OBD2 coilpacks mainly because of fitiment.

So I am wondering if there is any performance difference between the OBD1 coilpack vs the OBD2 version? Does the OBD1 version make more spark than the OBD2 version?

I come from the VW/Audi world and there is a measurable difference when an upgraded coilpacks are used. I have searched and not found much information between the OBD1 vs OBD2 coilpacks.
