So I accidentally rotated my M52 the wrong way

So I accidentally turned my M52 the wrong way, maybe a full turn. It could have been 1/3 of a turn, it was a long day. I was removing the bolts off the torque converter (auto) to get it off the fly wheel so I can get it on an engine stand. I briefly heard a ratcheting sound and stopped. How badly did I mess up? Did the timing chain skip teeth?

Is it turning fine the right way or does it feel bound up?

I've rotated an M50 the wrong way many times over and it's totally fine. The tensioners seem to work in both directions.

A full turn of the crank. The more I think about it, it was probably a half turn at best.

It felt like it was turning right but I didn't turn it much after that. I was just about done when I did it. It's on the stand now and the stand brackets are sung against the flywheel, I'll need to take it off to test that.

Good to know! I know these are strong engines but it def wasn't built to turn the wrong way.

I think it's fine to rotate it the wrong way. I did it when I was checking the timing after I installed cams and all is well.

It's ok to rotate it wrong way. Just make sure to rotate it right way before starting. The timing chain will get bit loose when you rotate it wrong way but nothing serious. But theoretically there is chance to skip tooth, if you start it with loose chain but it will get tight again after rotating right way.
