Just replaced my air filter and thought i'd share some photos of my intake.
I bought this car already swapped and thought the intake set up was pretty neat. Nice and OEM looking and perfectly functional.
Haven't seen any detailed pics of this set up before.
Seems to be an e34 air box, although I'm sure they used the same one on some other models.
Ribbing inside the box has been cut away to make room for the MAF, as well as a hole drilled in the side for the connection.
The intake elbow fits tightly into the box and is sealed with a rubber gasket, same as the MAF connector.
Anyway here are the pics, feel free to share some of your own if you have a similar set up. Good alternative to an open pod filter on these hot engines.
