    where does these sensors go???

wondering where these 2 sensors go on my harness that i got from another vanos motor...have these 2 remaning connectors(beside the alternator) that look to be female.

trying to figure out what 2 plugs go into these 2:

these are the crank and cam sensors.....here i just connected them both together...one of them is like a male and other female:

i just wanna finish connecting everthing so i can put back on the intake mani and move on to the next tasks.............

nice....i've been looking for that.......thanks...but the thing is the harness wont accept the cam/ crank sensors....

look the this other pic of both the cam and crank sensors connectors:

then look at the spots on my harness that i have......

peeling back the wires isnt hard its just making em fit........

check the number of pins inside the plugs. knock sensors have only 1 pin, on my old vanos car the knock were on a bracket like that. crank should be 3 pins and is only interchangable with the idle control valve.

So you didn't label prior to disassembly? ah never mind didn't see the harness came from another engine.

Do you have a wider view so we are not guessing. Idle stabilizer?

hehe made a lil drawing.......that L-shaped piece is the carrier for the engine harness that mounts to the engine block.....okay NOW know that those connections are for the crankshaft and camshaft sensors since everything else is hooked up....BUTT the ends on the actual sensors wont accept them so i may be wrong.... peep this pic ya'll shold have an idea of what im taking about:

do you have 2 plugs that will accept a 3 pin connection on that harness? did you check how many pins were actually in those plugs that arent connected. best bet is to unkook all the plugs, lay the harness in the l shaped track, make you starter and altenator connections. then everything thing else pretty much only reaches where it has to go. there are a few plugs that are 2 pin and will plug into eachother, but i am %100 sure that the knock sensor plugs are on a bracket, all others are not.

I don't see the idle stabilizer aka the ICV so that's one, and possibly the tps sensor on the throttle body.
