    Looking for M52 Header Recommendations

    Hi All,

I've been ing and scouring all the threads I could find, but I'm really unclear as to what version of the ebay "supersprint" headers people are having success with their 24v swaps. Most of the replies are quite old, and a lot can change in quality over a few years or months.

I'm not looking for perfect fitment and I completely understand that these are not the best quality, but I am looking for something useable for the exhaust shop to work with.

So with that info, what have people had recent success with?

zpeedstarz Motoring long tube headers http://r.ebay.com/KNOawM

    carpartsinnovate long tube headers http://r.ebay.com/EwnNC1

    superstreetparts shortys http://r.ebay.com/SaHzjH

    Thanks for any help!

I used the $97.99 SpeedDaddy headers. They fit with a little banging/heat but I'll need a new sparkplug bung

Surely there are more people running ebay headers... Anyone else want to chime in with experience?

The ones I put on Lola bolted right up and fit great. eBay won't let me go back that far on my phone so I'll see if I can find them on my laptop later.

Not sure about M52 fitment, but I have had a pretty good time with my Raceland headers so far on my S50. they bolt right on the euro spec Supersprint mid and rear section bits too so thats a plus... Supersprint FTW though if money were no object lol... My .02

It took some digging but I found what they're selling now:

The image is different than the one they had up when I bought mine in 2013, so YMMDV.

I went with Racelands. They took a little banging to clear the subframe and needed to drill out some of the holes where they mount to the head due to fitment issues, but were great once they were in.

Why not use the stock headers and then modify the mid-section to fit? Either way these will need welding to whatever system you're using...

The ebay shit always need work.

rolled the dice and ordered a set. Thanks for digging! I'll definitely report back with fitment, at least on the motor itself while I have it on the stand.

In my case I don't have a mid section and colorado really doesn't have a great used Euro market. Plus shinny is always better right? ;)

I used the speeddaddy ones also with AKG mounts. One bank hit the firewall and the other hit the subframe. An acetylene torch and some bending was required.

do you think you would actually see a HP improvement with those ebay headers vs using stock e36 headers?
