    s52 timing.. im stumped

hey all, i redid vanos. i had to remove the locking blocks that i had originally installed because it was preventing me from removing vanos..and well when i went to take the vanos off i turned the sprocket and the intake cam turned... the exhaust did not.. i had the flywheel lock pin installed, so i reinstalled everything and checked it, the exhaust cam is TDC and the locking block sits fine.. the intake is not.. this is where im stumped.. how can i re set the timing for intake? ive looked all over, do i just get a 24mm wrench and turn the intake cam?

    thanks.

Follow that write up, but yeah. Just rotate the cam back into position to where the locking block fits like it should.

The locking blocks are what dictate TDC for cams. Nothing else.

You're going to have to take the VANOS off and reset the intake cam to TDC and then reinstall the VANOS.
