    bmw e30 m50 with e34 automatic harness

    do i have to do anything with the automatic plug when i have a manual transmission and a automatic harness?

    No, you do not have to do anything except jump two wires on the TCU plug, rec/white, and brown/black. Otherwise you can remove everything relating to the automatic transmission,

      okey what color is rec? and is the tcu plug that plugs into a box in the engine harness? and must the box be pluged in at all time?

        Sorry I meant red. The only thing you need to keep the engine running is the red label 413 ECU

            some early silver lable ECUs dont have ews but most do and it would need to be bypassed with a chip
