    S52 Swap A/C Parts List?

    Hey guys,

I am about to pull the S52 out of my E36 M3 donor car and I was wondering what all parts I need to keep off of the E36 to use on my E30 for fully functioning A/C?

I have searched and it seems like maybe you just need the compressor and the ends of the A/C hoses so you can have the fittings installed on E30 hoses but its not entirely clear.

    Thanks in advance!

I think all you need is the compressor. I have been looking since I live in SW Florida and a/c is a must. I was reading up on people having custom lines made so that you can hook up the e36 compressor to the e30 equipment.

You're 100% on the compressor and ends of the hoses. You'd also want to keep the bracket that the compressor hangs on and possibly the belt, tensioner and idler pulley if they are still good.

Besides that I used all e30 stuff to get mine to work.

Well yeah I figured the associated hardware with making the compressor work on the S52 is necessary :-P

Thanks for the information guys I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing. Don't want to get rid of the donor and then go "Oh shit I needed X,Y and Z"

Does anyone know what is necessary in terms of wiring to make the A/C work?

pretty sure it's all answered here The Detailed E30 R-134a Conversion Thread/DIY

Edit: too early for me... just noticed I was in the 24v swap section :P the above thread is still useful for lots of info though. Luke_M has the list correct.

          here's another thread http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=363777

Thanks! I've looked at that second thread before and found it pretty useful but I just wanted to try and clarify and make sure I was interpreting everything properly.
