    Camshaft pitting from rust



    So, unfortunately it looks like the S52 I've had sitting developed some water intrusion and rusted up the intake cam. Had a local machine shop see if they could polish it out. Unfortunately it didn't seem to do much. Feels fairly smooth but I can feel the imperfections.

    Debating right now whether to run it or call up Delta Cam

    Delta is gonna fix it for a lot less than the cost of sourcing a new cam. Going to ship it out this weekend and report back when I receive the repaired cam.

    They should only have to remove a few thou, enough for the lifters to adjust for

            Check out Riot Racing. They've got a nice aftermarket cam and will take yours as a core charge. Pretty reasonably priced too.
