Shift Issue Solution: Reverse problem.

Issue: Difficult to select Reverse. When reverse is selected, the shifter pops out of gear. Also, 5th gear may have problems as well.

Solution: Flip #7 upside down.

Reason: I believe the problem occurs due to the fact that the m/s50 sit at a different angle than the m20: it's a geometry issue.

BTW, this is for the e36 tranny. I am not sure if 260 guys have this problem. Hope this helps. This solved my problem, and it seems to have solved m3ryans as well.

for the 260 i think flipping #7 upside down would actually make the carrier come in contact with the tunnel, it's already close enough as it is on my car. m50+260 combo
