    M5 clutch with zf

So I have been reading about this mythical m5 clutch and flywheel combo for the zf and I really can't find enough info about it. Is anyone running an e28/e34 single mass flywheel and clutch combo behind there m52/s52?

Does the e36 starter still work?

Can any m5 single mass and clutch set up fit?

Been eyeballing this kit on ecs. (Edit: it says this isn't for the m5 but when I Google s52 clutch it pops up. It's for the e28?)

Or this one if it's worth the extra money.

I am running this kit which includes an E34 M5 clutch and JBRacing flywheel

I'm very happy with the drivability. The E36 starter still works.

I was running an F1 Racing kevlar disc and aluminum flywheel before and I prefer this setup. It's less aggressive but still grabs hard.

My dads E36 M3 has an M5 clutch and lightweight flywheel. No chatter, smooth linear engagement, great pedal feel. I love it.

I just put this clutch kit in yesterday and so far I think it's awesome. This is coming after an f1 racing stage 3 clutch i think? I can't really remember what model it was. But the valeo kit has a stock weight single mass flywheel. I didn't weigh it but it certainly felt pretty heavy. It's such a nice drive after the stiff clutch pedal and gear rattle from my previous setup. Yeah it's for an m52, but from what I can tell they use the same size clutch as the m3. I don't foresee any problems with my s52 since I'm pretty much still at stock power levels. The only thing I'd recommend if you get it is to source a throwout bearing elsewhere, as mine had a little more play on the sleeve that it slides on in the tranny than I would like

Thanks, this sounds like a good option. I bet it can handle the s52 well.
