I just finished up the swap and I am unable to get the engine to fire.
I verified that I am getting power to the ECU. I am getting power to all of the relays. I jumpered the fuel pump relay to verify that the pump runs. I installed a test plug to verify that I have spark. The engine cranks and turns over with ease, but will not fire.
I installed new soft fuel lines. When looking at them from under the car at the point where they go from hard lines to soft lines, is the lower one supply and the upper one return? I thought I had labeled them properly when I removed the M20. Just want to make sure that the fuel is flowing in the right direction.
I have a silver labeled 413 DME, but the engine has an early build date (2/93) and it shouldn't have EWS, but who knows.
Do you get any fuel, spark or cranking if the ECU has EWS?
I'm pretty stumped right now because every thing indicated that this motor should start.
Any suggestions?? Anybody have a spare ECU in the Chicago area I could try?
